Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil has overtaken David Silva to become the Premier League’s most creative force according to stats from Opta.
Ozil is currently the leading assist provider in Europe after assisting 13 goals for Arsenal in 15 Premier League games.
David Silva has provided just six assists this season however, the Spanish international has played little over half as many games as Ozil.
Ozil has also provided twice as many key passes per game as Manchester City’s Spanish playmaker.
Özil is has won the Arsenal Vitality Player of the Month award for the past two consecutive months and will come face to face with Silva when Arsenal take on Manchester City on Monday.
The World Cup winner has played a key role in the north London based side reaching the Champions League Last 16 for the 15th consecutive season.
Arsenal take on Manchester City next Monday in a critical league encounter which could see the Gunners go top. Özil has won back-to-back FA Cups since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid.
