Stoke v Liverpool – Probable starting line-up’s: Emre Can set to start in Reds opener

Liverpool take on Stoke City in their opening Premier League game at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday 9 August.

The Reds will be looking to get revenge following the 6-1 defeat they suffered the last time these two sides met in May.

Emre Can in particular has a settle to score considering he put on one of his worst performances of the season in that same game and was substituted off at half time.

Can is expected to start in midfield for Liverpool. The 21-year-old played as a defender in Brendan Rodgers back-three and as a right-back last season but he is expected to be given his preferred role in the middle of the park over the 2015-16 league campaign.

Liverpool do not have the best record at the Britannia. The Reds have one just two of their last seven away games against Stoke in all competitions.
