Sunderland linked with €17m move for Moussa Sow

Sunderland are set to make a €17m move for Fenerbahçe striker Moussa Sow according to AMK.

The Senegal international has been closely linked with the Black Cats over the past season but still has another year left on his contract.

Fenerbahçe want  €17 million for the 29-year-old striker but head coach Vitor Perreira does not want Sow to leave.

Sow joined the Yellow Canaries on a €10 million transfer from Lille in 2012. The powerful striker won the Ligue 1 title and was top scorer in the league.

The Senegal international scored a total of 16 goals and made eight assists in all competitions this season despite playing much of the season out of position out on the flank.

Sow is expected to keep his place in the team despite the arrival of Robin van Persie as Emmanuel Emenike has been loaned out and Dirk Kuyt joined Feyenoord.

The 29-year-old striker has won two Super Lig titles and the Turkish Cup since signing for the Yellow Canaries.
