The Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) branch of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) have issued Bursaspor with a partial stadium ban.

The ban will force Bursaspor to not allow fans to watch the game from the Bursa Atatürk stadium Maraton stand.

The PFDK banned fans from the stand for ‘swearing and bad chants’.

The stand is also where the area of the stadium allocated to disabled Bursaspor fans and is setup to provide disabled access.

Fans needing wheelchair access will therefore not be allowed to watch the game.

Bursaspor released an official statement criticising the decision and called for the PFDK to stop handing out ridiculous punishments.

The statement read: “As a result of the ban our stand for disabled Bursaspor fans has been shut for the Kasımpaşa games, as a result our fans needing wheelchair access and other facilities for disabilities will not be able to attend the game. We want to apologise to our fans, this could probably only happen in Turkey.”
