Mesut Ozil has stated that he does not have a personal highlight this season and that he believes Arsenal will win trophies again this season.
The Germany International was asked about his personal highlight of the season by Arsenal Player.
“No, not really. The most important thing is that we win games as a team,” Ozil told Arsenal Player.
“Of course its nice if I can give an assist or score a goal but really what is most important is that we are successful as a team.
“We are rightfully near the top of the table, and are in the semis of the FA Cup again. I think we can win trophies again this season.”
Özil became the first player of Turkish origin to lift a World Cup in Brazil last summer.
The 26-year-old also won the FA Cup in his first season at Arsenal and has a chance to defend the cup this year with a semi-final match up against Reading at Wembley.
The Arsenal attacking midfielder has come under criticism for his work rate this season but Özil has covered more distance than his teammates since returning from injury.
The Gunners will face Liverpool in the Premier League after the international break.
