'This season is the strongest season' says Arsenal star Mesut Ozil

The Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has stated that this season is the best of his career.

The 27-year-old has been in exceptional form for the Gunners scoring goals against Manchester Untied and Bayern Munich as well as providing 12 assists in 20 games.

“This season is the strongest season I’ve played. I’m in a good way and playing really well,” Ozil was quoted as saying by ESPN.

“The main thing is that you stay healthy, stay fit. I believe in myself.”

Ozil played a staring role in Arsenal’s win over Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Gunners recorded a 3-1 victory moving them up into second place in the standings behind Leicester City.

The 27-year-old received a rating of 8.5 from WhoScored after making five key passes and taking 122 touches on the ball during the game.

Arsenal have 30 points after 15 games and take on Olympiakos in the UEFA Champions League next week.
