Tolgay Arslan wants to play in the Premier League says agent

Beşiktaş midfielder Tolgay Arslan wants to play in the Premier League in the future according to football agent Francesco Di Frisco.

Arslan was closely linked with a move to Arsenal over the winter transfer window but decided to join Beşiktaş in pursuit of regular first team football.

“He is having a great season at Beşiktaş, it is normal for clubs to be interested from Italy and elsewhere,” Di Frisco told Radyospor.

“Tolgay does dream of playing in England in the future but for now he has settled into like in Istanbul and is happy at Beşiktaş.”

Di Frisco also revealed that in addition to Arsenal, West Brom and Inter also made Arslan offers over the winter transfer window.

“It was a really tough call to make, Beşiktaş were already in talks with us but we also had offers from Arsenal, Inter Milan, West Bromwich and Traboznspor,” he added.

Arslan moved from the Bundesliga club HSV to the Black Eagles for just €500,000 in January and has two goals in all competitions for his new club.

The 24-year-old man has replaced midfielder Veli Kavlak over the past three weeks as a first-team player and received an average rating of 7.32 on Whoscored.

Beşiktaş have won their last three consecutive league games with Arslan in the starting lineup.

The Black Eagles are currently first in the league and take on Gaziantepspor next.
