Mehmet Ekici
He may have returned home this past summer but Mehmet Ekici maintains desires of reaching the top in Europe again. After a spell in Germany, he returned to Turkey with Trabzonspor, and has been inspirational in midfield this season as the club chases European football, and competes in the Europa League.
Ekici often plays in the most advanced central midfield slot, supporting the attack but also dropping deep to help out others in defensive aspects. Ekici’s six goals and six assists this season in the Super Lig make him one of the most consistent players around at the moment, while his dead ball strikes have become quite a habit. The midfielder has managed to score free-kicks this season and looks dead set on hitting the back of the net every time he steps up. At 24-years-old too, he has plenty of time for a major move.
