Tottenham join race for €7m West Ham target Burak Yilmaz

Tottenham have joined the race for Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz according to the Mirror.

The report claims that Spurs are set to make a rival bid for the Turkish international striker before the end of the winter transfer window.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on bringing in support for current first-choice striker Harry Kane.

The 30-year-old striker has years of experience playing for clubs that regularly challenge for the title and play Champions League football.

Spurs will however, face competition from West Ham who are keen on signing Yilmaz and are reported to have made a €7 million bid for the striker according to the Hurriyet.

Bilic told Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik“Burak Yilmaz is one of the players currently on our transfer list.”

Yilmaz has scored 139 times in 233 games for Galatasaray and Trabzonspor establishing himself as one of the most consistently prolific forwards in the league.

The experienced striker has won two Turkish Super League title and played a key role in the Galatasaray side that reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in the 2012-13 season.
