Tottenham star who has been likened to Usain Bolt linked with move to Turkey

The Turkish Super League side Trabzonspor have been linked with a move for Tottenaham’s pacy right-back DeAndre Yedlin.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotospor, Trabzonspor have tabled an offer for the USA international.

Yedlin spent last season on loan at Sunderland and is expected to leave the London based club in the search for first-team football. The 25-year-old joined Tottenham from the American MLS side Seattle Sounders back in August 2014, but he stayed in MLS for a further season and joined the squad in 2015.

Yedlin did however make an impression amongst Tottenham fans who joked that he was faster than the one and only Usain Bolt.

The USA international made 25 appearances on loan for Sunderland last term. Yedlin has 39 caps for USA, beginning his international career in a friendly with South Korea in February 2014.

Trabzonspor are on the hunt for a new right-back after offloading Luis Cavanda to Galatasaray earlier this month.

The Black Sea based side are looking to build a strong squad for their 50th anniversary season.
