Trabzonspor press officer Yakup Aslan has accused Fenerbahçe of trying to sabotage their attempts to sign Eskişehirspor winger Erkan Zengin.

“There is one club in Turkey that sees us as their enemy, whenever we try to make a transfer they get involved and try to raise the asking price,” Aslan said.

Aslan also criticised Zengin for lacking integrity.

“Did Erkan not say his biggest dream was to play for Galatasaray when Fatih Terim last time around?” Aslan said.

Trabzonspor head coach Ersun Yanal worked together with Zengin while at Eskişehirspor.

Yanal admitted that he would be interested in working together with Zengin at Trabzonspor.

Zengin has two and a half years remaining on this contract.

The Swedish international of Turkish origin joined EsEs in 2010 and has 29 goals as well as 33 assists in 171 appearances for the Süper Lig outfit.
