Trabzonspor on the 'verge' of signing Liverpool striker

Trabzonspor are leading the race to sign Liverpool’s out-of-favour striker Samed Yesil.

The daily sports radio station TalkSport state that ‘Yesil is on the verge of a sealing a summer move to Trabzonspor.’

The report goes onto state that Yesil has not done enough to catch Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s attention with his contract set to expire at the end of June.

Yesil joined Liverpool form Bayer Leverkusen for £1 million back in 2012 and has made just two appearances in the League cup for the Reds.

Trabzonspor have frequently been linked with the 22-year-old over the past two seasons.

Yesil is known to be a Trabzonspor fan and spent his summer break in the Black sea region of Turkey.

Despite being born in Germany his family originate from Trabzon in north-eastern Turkey.

Yesil has made two assists and has found the back of the four times in 17 appearances for Luzern this season.
