Trabzonspor part company with Fatih Öztürk

Trabzonspor have terminated the contract of their goalkeeper Fatih Öztürk. The 28-year-old was deemed surplus to requirement following the arrival of Hakan Arikan on loan from Kayserispor.

 

Öztürk was heavily criticised for his performances in goal following the injury to Trabzonspor’s first choice goalkeeper Onur Kivrak.

Kivrak injured his knee during a Europa League tie with Legia and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

Trabzonspor signed Hakan Arikan as a replacement and the Turkish international has impressed since his arrival.

Trabzonspor take on Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday.
