The 26-year-old has settled in well to life in Turkey and Trabzonspor have a €4 million release clause that remains active until the end of the season.
“I came here to become a champion and I want to be part of the big plans we have here we are not where we want to be in the league but we will turn things around,” Marin said.
Marin has one goal and two assists in all appearances for the Black Sea Storm this season.
The Germany international is one of 26 other Chelsea players to have been sent out on loan over the summer and the second to join the Turkish Super League after Kenneth Omeruo was signed by Istanbul based Kasimpasa.
Trabzonspor are currently in 9th place on 14 points and take on Basaksehir next on 7 November 2015.
