Trabzonspor have completed the transfer of Costa Rica international Esteban Alvarado.
The Black Sea Storm shared pictures of the former AZ Alkmaar keeper on their official website undergoing his medical at the team headquarters.
The Süper Lig outfit also finalised the loan transfer of Dynamo Moscow defender Chris Samba today.
Alvarado famously fly-kicked a pitch invader in AZ Alkmaar’s clash against Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena in 2011.
The goalkeeper kicked the pitch invader to the floor and followed with a few extra kicks before security guards dragged the fan away.
Alvarado was send off by referee Bas Nijhuis. The decision enraged head coach Gertjan Verbeek who ordered his side to walk off in protest.
The red card was eventually rescinded by the Dutch FA.
The Black Sea Storm finished last season in fifth place and are currently managed by Shota Arveladze who replaced Ersun Yanal over the summer.
Trabzonspor take on Macedonian outfit Rabotnicki in the Europa League play-off round this evening.
