Yeşil shared an Instagram picture wearing a Liverpool kit alongside the following caption: “lLooking forward to getting back at it #ynwa #lfc.”
The 21-year-old has spent the last few weeks touring Turkey during which time he visited Istanbul and Bodrum but it was his trip to Trabzon that fuelled the transfer speculation.
Yeşil was born in Germany but his family originate in Trabzon and he supported the local club growing up.
Turkish newspaper HaberTurk, reported that that Liverpool are open to the idea of allowing Yeşil to leave on loan so that he can gain first team experience but it seems the 21-year-old wants to try and prove himself in England this season.
The young striker missed most of last season with a double cruciate ligament injury but did make a full recovery towards the end of the league campaign.
