Trabzonspor manager Ersun Yanal believes his side can win the league.
“Competing in the league and in Europe may seem like a disadvantage but we have a lot of quality and depth,” Yanal said.
“Trabzonspor will be champions at the end of the season, our main opposition will be Beşiktaş.”
Yanal made a similar statement last season while in charge of Fenerbahçe, the Yellow Canaries went on to win the title by a nine point margin.
Trabzonspor ended a 991 day stretch without a win in Istanbul last week against Galatasaray.
The Black Sea Storm won the game 3-0 and Yanal recorded his third career win over Cesare Prandelli in the process.
Trabzonspor then went on to beat Metalist 3-1 in the Europa League on Thursday and secure a place in the Round of 32.
The Black Sea based side are currently ninth in the Süper Lig on 15 points but will move into fifth place with a win against Gençlerbirliği on Monday 1 December.
