Turan looking forward to playing Calhanoglu & Toprak in Champions League [divider]
Arda Turan admitted that he is looking forward to playing against Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Ömer Toprak in the Champions League when Atletico Madrid take on Bayer Leverkusen in the Last 16.
“I wish Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Ömer Toprak the best of luck,” Turan said.
“I will be playing against my brothers and it will be a tough game, Leverkusen have some really good players.”
Turan also revealed that he is not looking to return to Turkey at this stage in his career.
“I am not considering moving back to Turkey until the end of my career,” Turan said.
Turan became the first Turkish player to win a La Liga title when Atletico Madrid lifted the title last season.
The Turkish international was also part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final.
The 27-year-old has become an integral part of Diego Simeone’s side. The duo duo have lifted the La Liga, Copa Del Rey, Europa League, European Super Cup and reached the Champions League final together.
Turan has three goals and five assists for the Spanish champions this season.
