Turkey beating Netherlands is ‘of vital importance’ says Terim [divider]

The Turkish national team must beat the Netherlands in the Euro 2016 Group A qualifier according to head coach Fatih Terim.

“Victory tomorrow is important to the team. The result will be of big influence on the spirit of the team,” Terim was quoted as saying by FourFourTwo.

Turkey still have games against Iceland, Latvia, Czech Republic and Kazakhstan to come after the Netherlands game.

Terim revealed that if Turkey defeat the Netherlands it would also be important for team moral.

“Turkey has to play against the Netherlands, Iceland, Latvia, Czech Republic and Kazakhstan. It’s of vital importance that we win,” he added.

Turkey have only beat Kazakhstan in Group A, the Crescent-Stars have lost against both Iceland and Cezech Republic.

The Netherlands are currently third in Group A with six points from four games, while Turkey are fourth with four points after as many games.
