Turkey to face the Netherlands for the 11th time

Turkey will take on the Netherlands national team for the 11th time this weekend when the two sides meet in a Euro 2016 qualification match.

The two sides first met in 1958 and the the Netherlands have gone onto win five of the 10 games played so far. Turkey have won twice while three of the games have resulted in a draw.

The Netherlands have scored 12 goals in these head to heads while Turkey have found the back of the net on five occasions.

Turkey are currently 4th in Group A with four points in four games. Fatih Terim’s side have won just one game so far and know a defeat could leave them 11 points off the leaders the Czech Republic.

The Dutch are currently third in Euro 2016 qualification Group A with six points from four games, while Turkey sit fourth with four points after four games.
