Turkish football has great potential says Real Madrid CEO Emilio Butragueno.
“Football in Turkey has huge potential but it needs a better setup and a more effective organisation,” Butragueno told Fanatik.
“Turkish football has a fanatical supporter base, that is a big advantage because look at us, we play in one of the best leagues in the world but same games the atmosphere is so dull you could fall asleep.
“The stands have become monotone and devoid of passion in some parts.
“Turkey needs to be aware of its potential and not lose that fiery support, Turkish football could become a serious force in European football in the near future.”
Real Madrid are currently first in La Liga and their Champions League group.
