Turkish giants unwilling to sell Stoke City target Robin Van Persie

Fenerbahce are unwilling to offload their star striker Robin van Persie to the Premier League side Stoke City.

Van Persie has been linked with a move to the Potters by the Mirror. The daily tabloid paper also states that Stoke are chasing West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

However, a source close to the player told Turkish-football.com that Stoke were close to loaning Van Persie however, after a meeting between the agent and Fenerbahce an agreement was reached for the Dutch star to stay at the club.

Van Persie has two seasons remaining on his contract with Fenerbahce after joining from Manchester United last summer.

The 32-year-old won the league title with United during his three-seasons at the Red Devils. Van Persie man provided three assists and found the back of the net 22 times in 48 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce season.
