Barcelona’s Arda Turan lead Turkey to a historic 3-0 win over the Netherlands on Sunday to keep his nations hopes of qualification to the Euro 2016 alive. Meanwhile Mesut Özil  featured for Arsenal and Emre Can made his international debut.

Mesut Özil

Mesut Özil recovered from a knee injury to play two games for Germany in two days. The 26-year-old was on the winning side in both games leaving his side on the brink of Euro 2016 qualification.

Arda Turan

Arda Turan lead his side to a 3-0 win over the Netherlands. The 28-year-old played despite not playing a game for Barcelona this season due to a transfer ban.

Emre Can

Emre Can made his international debut for the German national team. The Liverpool man provided the assist for Germany’s second goal in the 2014 World Cup winners 3-2 win ver Scotland.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu started in both of Turkey’s games over the past week and was one of the stars of the show in his nations 3-0 victory over the Netherlands.
