The Reds took a lead during the first half when Rickie Lambert setup Philippe Coutinho with the opening goal.

Leroy Fer equalised for QPR on 73 minutes but Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard rescued the day with the winning goal.

Can received a rating of 7.59 for his performance at right-back. The 21-year-old made 8 tackles, 2 interceptions and 2 clearances.
