Ekici has now scored five direct-free kick goals this season, making him the most dangerous set-piece specialist in Europe – top five European leagues.

The Turkish international has scored more goals from free-kicks than 17 Süper Lig teams.

The 24-year-old is the highest rated player in the Süper Lig according to Whoscored.

Ekici first made a name for himself as a hot talent while developing at the Bayern Munich youth academy.

The German giants loaned him out to 1 FC. Nuremberg in 2010 a one year agreement and he was signed by Werder Bremen the following season.

Ekici joined Trabzonspor for £1.3 million this summer on a four-year deal and has established himself as a key member of Ersun Yanal’s side.
