Valencia star snubs Liverpool in favour of Turkey move

Sofiane Feghouli West Ham transfer news

Valencia’s star midfielder Sofiane Feghouli has snubbed Liverpool’s contract offer according to the Daily Star.

The tabloid paper claims that Fenerbahce have offered the Algerai international a lucrative three-year deal which has ‘blown Liverpool out of the water’.

Feghouli’s contract with Valencia expires at the end of the season meaning he is able to discuss personal terms with clubs and leave on a free in July.

The 26-yer-old did however state last month that he wanted to remain at Valencia.

“There are details as to why the club and my representatives haven’t reached agreement,” Feghouli was quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

“I’m positive and patient, but both parties have to be happy. There’s no reason to break apart.”

Fenerbahce have already signed eight players this season including Lille defender Simon Kjaer, 2014-15 Süper Lig top scorer Fernandao, Turkish international Şener Özbayraklı and Brazil international Josef De Souza.

Feghouli has four assists and seven goals in 36 appearances for Valencia this season. The 26-year-old has made 39 appearances for the Algerian national team.
