Fenerbahce star Robin van Persie has revealed who in his opinion are the current best players in world football.
Van Persie named Barcelona duo Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta as well as Cristiano Ronaldo as his top picks.
The Dutch striker told UEFA: “Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Andrés Iniesta. These are the players who are really standing out.”
Messi won the Ballon d’OR 2015 and has won a total of four world player of the year awards while his rival Ronaldo has two titles to his name.
Iniesta has never won the Ballon d’Or but did finish as runner-up in the 2010 edition and in third place in 2012.
Van Persie has never made the final round of nominations for the Ballon d’Or but did win the PFA Fans Player of the Year 2012 after winning the Premier League title with Manchester United the same season.
The experienced striker joined Fenerbahce on a three-year deal from United over the summer and has a total of 14 goals and one assist in all competitions this season.
