Veli Kavlak has received a two game suspension from the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK).

The PFDK released a statement confirming that Kavlak had been charged for the red-card he received during Besiktas’s 2-0 defeat against Galatasaray.

The statement read: “Besiktas A.S footballer Veli Kavlak has received a two game suspension and 8.500-TL fine for his unsportsmanlike behaviour.”

Veli will miss Besiktas’s Cup game against Adana Demirspor and the Super League clash against Gençlerbirliği .

The Austrian international has recently signed a four year contract extension with Besiktas.

The 25-year-old joined Beşiktaş for £600,000 from Rapid Vienna in 2011 and has two goals in 23 appearances for the Black Eagles this season.
