Veli Kavlak – ‘We ran like dogs for 90 minutes’ [divider]
Beşiktaş midfielder Veli Kavlak revealed that he was delighted with his goal in the 3-0 win against Trabzonspor.
“I knew my shot would go in as I made contract with the ball,” Kavlak said.
“Thank god it went in, I was delighted when I saw the ball in the back of the net.”
The 26-year-old midfielder now has two goals this season.
Kavlak also praised the fans and his teammates work rate.
“The fans were incredible today, I want to thank everybody that came they gave us a real lift, we were in Konya but we felt at home,” Kavlak said.
“Everybody battled hard, we ran like dogs, we didn’t stop until the final whistle.
“I just hope Mustafa is going to be alright, he suffered a nasty injury.”
Kavlak joined Beşiktaş for £600,000 from Rapid Vienna in 2011 and has eight goals and 14 assists in 128 appearances for the Black Eagles.
