Beşiktaş missed the last two weeks of league football due to both games being abandoned due to heavy snowfall but were able to return to league football yesterday against Gaziantepspor.

With Fenerbahçe losing and Galatasaray drawing Beşiktaş had an opportunity to take advantage and did exactly that.

Beşiktaş crushed Gaziantepspor 4-0 with Gökhan Töre, Oğuzhan Özyakup and Mario Gomez all getting on the scoresheet.

Gomez scored a brace to take his league tally to 15 and make him the highest scoring player in the league so far this season.

Beşiktaş stil have another two games in hand but are just two points behind leaders Fenerbahçe and 10 ahead of Galatasaray.
