(Video) Fenerbahce 1-1 Galatasaray: Yellow Canaries maintain 15 years unbeaten record against Lions at home

Jeremain Lens

Galatasaray held Fenerbahçe to a 1-1 draw at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium despite behind behind for most of the game.

Diego Ribas gave the Yellow Canaries the lead on 36 minutes and the home side applied most of the early pressure creating the majority of chances.

Fenerbahçe were however, punished for their profligacy in-front of goal in the last five minutes when Wesley Sneijder’s brilliant cross found the head of Olcan Adın.

The Yellow Canaries were still able to maintain their unbeaten home record against Galatasaray since the turn of the millennium but the only side this result really helped was Beşiktaş who could move four points clear at the top of the table with a win tomorrow.
