Galatasaray beat Akhisar 3-2 at the Türk Telekom Arena to maintain their seven game unbeaten run at home.

Lukas Podolski gave yet another impressive performance and set up Umut Bulut with the opening goal on 26 minutes before scoring himself a few minutes before the half time whistle.

The Germany international has now scored eight times in 16 league games and has a total of 10 goals and four assists in all competitions for the Lions.

Podolski has already eclipsed his total goals for Arsenal and Inter where he spent last season.

Galatasaray moved into third place in the league following the victory but are still nine points off league leaders Besiktas.
