Arsenal were dealt a blow in the title race after being held to a 3-3 draw against West Ham at Upton Park.
The Gunners did however, got off to a brilliant start when Mesut Ozil opened the scoring on 18 minutes.
The World Cup winner made a well timed run behind the West Ham defence before slotting the ball into the back of the net for his eight goal of the season.
Ozil is the leading assist provider in the league having setup 19 goals this season but he did not add to his tally today.
The Arsenal star did however make the highest number of key passes (3) by any Arsenal player. Ozil has now created 122 chances this season – more than any other player.
Ozil also took one shot on target, had 85 touches on the ball and maintained a passing accuracy of 81 percent.
The north London based club are now 10 points behind Leicester City who take on Sunderland tomorrow.
