Video: Podolski challenges Liverpool star & Germany boss to trick shot challenge

Lukas Podolski

Galatasaray striker Lukas Podolski decided to take a break from preparing for Germany’s Euro 2016 semi-final clash against France by challenging Liverpool midfielder Emre Can and national team boss Joachim Low to a trick shot challenge.

The reason behind Podolski’s challenge remains a mystery. Perhaps he wanted to prove to Low that he can score from just about anywhere and with first choice striker Mario Gomez out he may just end up getting a shot against France.

Can and Low both managed to curl the ball into the goal but Podolski when one better by curling the ball into the back of the net with the outside of his foot.

Podolski shared the following caption alongside his Instagram video: “Who’s got the best tekkers? #coach #emre #poldi”

Podolski has yet to start for Germany in Euro 2016 but may get his shot against France as Low is stretched in the striker department.

The former Arsenal striker scored 17 times and provided 10 assists in all competitions for Galatasaray last season.
