Lukas Podolski joined Galatasaray from Arsenal last summer after spending three seasons at the North London based outfit. The Germany international scored 19 times during his time at the Gunners but failed to score a hat-trick.

Prior to joining Arsenal, Podolski played for FC Koln, Bayern Munich and then FC Koln again. It was during his first stint at Koln that he scored his last hat-trick 11 years ago against Duisburg.

Podolski put three past Dersimspor in the Turkish Cup on Tuesday evening to take his season tally to five goals in five appearances in all competitions.

The 31-year-old’s third goal was classic Podolski, giving the opposition goalkeeper no chance with a rifle shot that almost ripped the net.
