Video: Skrtel provides first assist since leaving Liverpool as Fenerbahce crash out Champions League

Fenerbahce crashed out of the Champions League after losing 3-1 against Monaco in the 3rd qualifying round return leg.

Monaco took an early two goal lead thanks to a third minute goal from Germain followed shortly after by a penalty from Falcao.

The Colombian striker was taken off in the first half after picking up what looked like a hamstring strain.

Fenerbahce got back into the game in the second half when Emmanuel Emenike who spent last season on loan at West Ham struck the cross bar.

Martin Srktel who joined from Liverpool this summer ended up providing his first assist since joining in setting up Emenike who his third goal in two games.

Germain scored 12 minutes later against the run of play to take Monaco ahead on away goals.

The Istanbul giants were unable to find a way back into the game and crashed out of the competition.

Besiktas will be the sole Turkish representative in the Champions League group stages this season.
