Wesley Sneijder admitted that he was pleased that his Galatasaray teammate Burak Yılmaz scored in the 1-1 draw between Netherlands and Turkey.

The Netherlands international captain played a key role in the last minute equaliser. Sneijder’s shot deflected off Huntelaar before hitting the back of the net.

The goal was enough to keep the Dutch in third-place in the Euro 2016 Group A qualifying group.

Turkey would have overtaken the Netherlands and moved into third-place had they won the game.

Turkish international Yılmaz and Sneijder are Galatasaray teammates.

Sneijder joined Galatasaray from Inter in January 2013 and has a total of 30 goals and 14 assists in 93 games for the Lions.

Yılmaz is the Lions top goal scorer this season. The 28-year-old has 17 goals and five assists in all competitions this season.
