The Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder has likened Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoglu to Jose Mourinho.
The 30-year-old also stated that Cesare Prandelli and his coaching staff had a problem communication with the players due to the language barrier.
“It was hard for the squad to communicate [with Prandelli] due to the language barrier,” Sneijder told the Milliyet.
“Roberto Mancini handled the situation well by appointing Tugay Kerimoglu as his assistant. All of Prandelli’s coaching staff were Italian.
“Hamzaoglu has a much closer relationship with the players. He is a good person and he reminds me of Jose Mourinho.”
The Netherlands international joined Galatasaray from Inter in January 2013 and has 13 goals and six assists in all competitions for the Istanbul giants this season.
Galatasaray are currently first in the Süper Lig, three points clear of second places Fenerbahçe with two games left to play.
The Lions host Besiktas at the Turk Telekom Arena today in the weeks most anticipated encounter. Galatasaray need to avoid defeat if they are to go into the final week in pole position.
