West Ham closed the gap with fourth placed Manchester City to just one point following the 1-0 win over rivals Tottenham in the London derby at Upton Park yesterday.
Michail Antonio found the back of the net for the second week running to score the only goal in the game.
On-loan Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike got his third start since joining in January. The Nigerian international did not find the back of the net against Spurs but he did cause the defence more than a few problems with his pace.
We took to Twitter to take a look at what Hammers fans made of his performance.
Emenike seems to have won over West Ham fans so far. Most of the Hammers faithful – on Twitter anyway – were happy to see him in the starting line-up.
Emenike starts, happy with that

With Andy Carroll and Diafro Sakho both available Slaven Bilic showed his trust in Emenike by giving him the start over his other forwards.
As many have mentioned, this is a huge game for Emenike. With Carroll and Sakho ready and waiting he needs to deliver.

Emenike did not score or provide an assist however, he did put on a hard-working display that went down well with the home fans. The Nigerian international even received a standing ovation from the supporters.
Emenike, who gets a deserved standing ovation, comes off for Andy Carroll.

All that seemed to be missing from Emenike’s performance was a goal.

Obiang HAS to start Saturday, Collins & Ogbonna were class, Kouyate solid out of position, Antonio magical yet again & Emenike was so good

Enemies’ physical presence evidently caused the Tottenham defence and goalkeeper more than a few problems.
Emenike looked like he was causing Spurs nightmares
