West Ham latest signing has known Slaven Bilic 'for years'

West Ham United’s latest transfer Emmanuel Emenike has stated that he has known the Hammers boss Slaven Bilic ‘for years’.

The Nigeria international stated that he worked under the Croatian manager while at Lokomotiv Moscow.

“I’ve known him [Bilic] for years. When he was at Lokomotiv Moscow, I was at Spartak Moscow, then he came to Besiktas and I was in Fenerbahce, so we’ve known each other for a long time,” Emenike told West Ham’s official website.
“I’m happy to be here and happy to play for him. We’ve followed each other’s careers and thank God we are here today and we are here together.”

West Ham completed the loan transfer of Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike until the end of the season.

Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim revealed that the Hammers agreed to an £8.4 million release clause option for the Nigerian international striker.

The president also claimed that the Hammers are also set to pay the Yellow Canaries £760,000 in loan fees until the end of the season.

Emenike spent the first half of the season on loan at Al Ain scoring seven goal in 11 appearances.
