West Ham make €3.5m bid for Canada international

Besiktas president Fikret Orman has confirmed that West Ham United have made a €3.5 million bid for Atiba Hutchinson.

Orman revealed that the Hammers will have to increase their offer if they want to sign the Canadian international but also stated that Atiba wants a Premier League move.

The club president did however, reveal that he will hold talks with Atiba to discuss his future and make a decision afterwards.

“I am going to have talks with Atiba Hutchinson, he has said he wants to move to England. West Ham made a €3.5 million offer but we want more for him. As I said we will decide his future after we hold talks,” Orman said in his press conference today.

The central midfielder was a key member of the Besiktas team under the stewardship of Slaven Bilic during his time in charge of the Black Eagles.

Bilic coached Besiktas for two-seasons before taking over West Ham last summer.

The Canada international would become the second player to join the Hammers from Besiktas if he were to make the move.

Gokhan Tore has joined West Ham on a one-year loan with the Hammers having a future buyout clause option.
