West Ham prepare £8 million bid for Galatasaray target Hernandez

West Ham United are preparing an £8 million bid for Manchester United’s out-of-favour striker Javier ”Chicharito’ Hernandez according to the Daily Mail.

The Hammers have been in contact with Hernandez since January but will face competition from Roma, Galatasaray, Besiktas and Wolfsburg.

West Ham have also been linked with Matteo Destro on loan from Roma and Charlie Austin at QPR and Loic Remy

Chicharito agent Marijo Knez recently confirmed that Galatasaray are interested in the Mexico international.

“Galatasaray’s interest [in Chicharito] continues,” Knez told Radyospor.

“Galatasaray are a huge club, they are one of our options in Turkey.”

The Istanbul giants manager Hamza Hamzaoglu recently confirmed that Galatasaray are on the hunt for a new striker.

Hernandez spent last season on loan at La Liga giants Real Madrid after falling out of favour with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.

Galatasaray booked a place in the Champions League group stages for the fourth consecutive season in the process.
