West Ham summer signing considers his options

Gokhan Tore arrived in East London as one of West Ham’s most highly anticipated transfers of the summer when he joined on a one-year loan from Besiktas.

Tore was Slaven Bilic’s golden boy during his time in Besiktas and the Turkish international excelled under his stewardship establishing himself as one of the most sought after players in the league.

The former Chelsea academy youth product has however, struggled to settle in and has just one assist in all competitions this season. To make matters worse Tore is currently injured and will have to fight for his place back in the team once he recovers.

A source close to the player revealed to Turkish-football.com that Tore has to consider his options going forwards. West Ham signed the 24-year-old on a one-year loan however, Bilic will hold a meeting with Tore over his future at the club and they will decide whether he stays on until the end of the season or push towards a mutually agreed contract termination.

Tore is expected to stay on until the end of the season but he wants assurances from Bilic that he has a place in his side. Wet Ham still have an option to sign Tore on a permanent deal for £10 million which remains active until the end of the season.

The Turkish international’s parent club Besiktas are currently joint first in the Super Lig and second in their Champions League group.
