Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu has confirmed interest in Marseille striker Pierre Gignac.
“Andre-Pierre Gignac is on our shortlist but we will only sign him if the price is right,” Hamzaoğlu told TRT.
The Lions could face competition from Premier League outfit West Ham according to the TalkSport.
Galatasaray have been keeping close tabs on the Ligue 1 striker and were reported to have first held talks over the winter transfer window.
The France international was in prolific form for Marseille last season scoring 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 appearances however, he has not renewed his contract with the French giants and is available on a free transfer.
Galatasaray official Cenk Ergün recently confirmed that the Istanbul giants were interested in Gignac in January.
“Galatasaray want Gignac but will need to make way for him by getting rid of a foreign player,” Ergün told Radyospor.
The France international joined Marseille in August 2010 from Toulouse for €20 million.
