Besiktas star Gokhan Tore has been dropped from the the Turkish national team squad ahead of Euro 2016.
Tore was included in the preliminary 31-man squad but head coach Fatih Terim decided not to include him in the 23-man team.
The news came as a shock to Turkish national team fans as Tore was expected to make the cut considering he was picked over Omer Toprak initially.
Toprak was reported to have been left out because Tore made the preliminary team. The Bayer Leverkusen star has not played alongside Tore since a feud involving both players almost split the national team apart.
Turkey will be without both Tore and Toprak going into the European Championships. Tore was suspended for the first two games of the tournament anyway and would only have been able to play from the third group game onwards.
Tore is currently in talks with West Ham over a transfer to the East London based outfit.
