West Ham are preparing to make a bid for Beşiktaş midfielder Atiba Hutchinson according to Eurosport Turkey.

The Premier League outfit will be able to enter direct talks with Hutchinson in January if Beşiktaş fail to renew his contract.

Hutchinson has a year remaining on his contract and currently makes €1 million per-season but wants an €800,000 pay-rise.

Hutchinson has been in impressive form for the Black Eagles this season, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praised the 31-year-old midfielder following the Champions League playoff tie against Beşiktaş.

“The best player on Besiktas?, I was impressed by Hutchinson.” Wenger said.

Bilic singled out Hutchinson as his most important player following the game against Arsenal, the Beşiktaş coach said, “We played without our most important player, Hutchinson,”

Hutchinson joined Beşiktaş from PSV on a free transfer last summer.

The powerful defender has six assists and one goal in 51 appearances for the Black Eagles.
