Yanal pleased with Trabzonspor win but disappointed with performance [divider]
Trabzonspor manager Ersun Yanal revealed that we was pleased with the 3-2 win against rivals Rizespor but disappointed with the way his side played.
“We are happy with they result but I have a number of concerns,” Yanal said.
“We did not play our game, we could not dominate the game, we did not control possession or dictate the tempo.
“It was a difficult game to prepare for as they just appointed a new manager. We knew they would make changes but Hikmet Karaman surprised us.
“Rizespor were well motivated and really wanted the points, they caused us a few defensive problems and we struggled to cope.
“I am just pleased we managed to get all three points.”
Trabzonspor moved into fifth place on 21 points following the win.
Yanal has led Trabzonspor to three wins, two losses and one draw since replacing Vahid Halilhodzic last month.
Trabzonspor face a tricky test away to Bursaspor next week while Rizespor host Gaziantepspor.
