The report states that Everton held early talks with the experinced playmaker’s agent Guido Albers and that Albers also held talks with Galatasaray.

The daily Turkish newspaper AMK claim that Everton’s newly appointed manager Ronald Koeman is keen to bring Sneijder to Goodison Park.

According to the Express, Koeman has a transfer budget of £100m this summer following the arrival of major share holder Farad Moshiri.

The 32-year-old has been linked with a move away from Galatasaray following a dispute with the clubs management. Galatasaray are also under pressure to offload star names in order to comply by UEFA financial fair play regulations.

Sneijder has setup ten assists and scored five goals in 40 games for Galatasaray this season.
