Fenerbahce in talks with Bayern Munich centre back Dante

Fenerbahce have set their sights on Bayer Munich’s experienced centre back Dante according to the Turkish sports show ‘Ceza Sahasi’.

The show which airs on Bugün TV stated that the Brazilian international was in talks with Fenerbahce and that he will replace an out-going Bruno Alves next season.

Dante has recently lost his place in the Bayern staring line-up to Benatia and Jerome Boateng. The Brazilian international has two years remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga giants.

The 31-year-old was recently heavily criticised by the German football legend Franz Beckenbauer.

“Well, Dante. He just needs to stop the ball. Were he from Iceland, or from the north pole, then I would say he still had his ski boots on. But like that, terrible,” Beckenbauer told Sky following Bayerns 3-1 defeat at the hands of Porto in the UEFA Champions League last month.

Dante has made 38 appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions this season and has 14 international caps with Brazil.
