Galatasaray make make enquiry for Man City defender Denayer

Galatasaray have made an enquiry to Manchester City regarding the availability of Jason Denayer next season according to AMK.

The report claims that the Lions want to loan Denayer for another season but will wait for Pep Guardiola to make his decision regarding the Belgium international’s future.

Denayer has been loaned out for the past few seasons and enjoyed a fruitful spell at Galatasaray winning the 2015-16 Turkish Cup.

The 20-year-old setup Lukas Podolski for the winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Fenerbahce in the cup final.

The Belgium international defender settled in well to life in Turkey and did hint that he could remain for another season depending on City’s plans for him.

Denayer was asked if he would consider staying at Galatasaray next season after winning the Turkish Cup to which he responded: “Galatasaray and Manchester City will have to agree on that it is not a decision I can make, they would have to agree first.”

Galatasaray will not compete in European competition next season due to a UEFA competition ban after failing to meet FFP guidelines.
